According to a rumor from Bloody Disgusting, Blumhouse is looking to bring back director David Gordon Green to helm two back-to-back sequels to his 2018 reboot of Halloween. Not only that, but apparently there’s also discussions of releasing both films in October 2020.

Halloween (2018) ignored years of sequels to continue the story of only the 1978 original. It was a massive success, bringing in an international box office gross of over $250 million. With similar franchises like A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th not having any current plans for future installments, it’s no wonder Blumhouse is looking to cash in on the success of Michael Myers, and slasher movies in general, as soon as possible. But releasing two sequels to the same franchise in the same month is practically unheard of.
